Who we are

Petit Flan was born from a love of simple, authentic French baking.
I grew up just outside Paris and was fortunate to spend much of my childhood travelling across France, discovering the unique character and flavours of regions such as Normandy, Brittany, the Loire Valley, Provence and the Côte d'Azur. Wherever we went, there was always a local bakery nearby, filled with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked pastries, tarts and breads made with care and quality ingredients.

Our Story
In 2011, I moved to London and later settled in South Croydon with my family. Over the years, I found myself missing those traditional French bakeries — the simple, honest bakes made fresh each day and enjoyed without fuss. No elaborate decorations or excessive sweetness, just authentic pastries made well.
Our mission
At Petit Flan, everything is handmade in small batches using quality ingredients, ensuring every bake is as fresh and delicious as possible. Our aim is simple: to share the comforting flavours of traditional French pâtisserie and celebrate the joy of uncomplicated, homemade baking.


Petit Flan
The name Petit Flan comes from one of France's most beloved pastries: the flan pâtissier, a baked custard tart and my personal speciality. It has long been a family favourite, and over the years I have refined my recipe to create a flan that is wonderfully creamy, rich and full of flavour. It perfectly represents everything Petit Flan stands for: simple ingredients, traditional methods and delicious results.
